Pixel pitch definition
The term “pixel pitch” refers to the space between neighbouring pixels on an LED screen, affecting image quality and resolution. Smaller distances between pixels mean higher pixel densities, resulting in clearer and more detailed images. Pixel pitches are usually measured in millimetres (mm). Lower values indicate higher-resolution screens that are best viewed up close, while higher values indicate lower-resolution screens that are suitable for viewing at longer distances.
As a reference, indoor screens typically have a pitch between 2 and 4mm, offering crystal clear visuals from as close as 2m away from the screen. On the outer hand, outdoor screens are typically offered in pixel pitch ranging from 4mm upwards – ensuring perfect images from 4m away.
